Franklin Regional Hockey Club invites you to participate in a developmental hockey program for all students (boys and girls) in grades K-8. As a part of FRHC, players will be learning the same skills that our Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams use. This will prepare them to make a seamless transition to the next level of play. The only requirements for participation are residence in the Franklin Regional School District and the ability to skate.
No prior hockey experience is necessary!!! The program will feature a combination of on-ice practices at Center Ice in Delmont with games against local schools with certified programs.
The Junior Panther program typically runs November through February. This year's practice time slot will be on Sundays from 5:00 pm-6:00pm. Games are with local school developmental teams, which may be throughout the weekdays according to ice availability.
Players are placed on teams according to their skill level. There are no ‘good or bad’ teams, our goal is to develop the kids. We want them to improve from the beginning until the end of the season and to learn and love the game. Our concern is not about winning or losing, it is all about development.
Junior Panthers is coached by USA Hockey Certified Coaches who are also dads of our players. Junior Panthers is overseen by our Varsity Coach, John Winebrenner.
